Jupiter - growth and expansion Jupiter is a giant; the largest planet in our solar system and as such is not associated with anything on a small scale. There is no pettiness with Jupiter, it is all-encompassing and about growth and abundance, the opportunity for expanding our horizons.

power planets As with many things, too much of a good thing maybe just that so Saturn provides us with limitations to our expanding expectations. Jupiter is about wisdom and learning through experience. Here we find our own truths and not the regurgitated vision through someone else's understanding. Of course, we can learn a certain amount through our mercurial sense in what we read and hear, but the lessons that stay with us come through our own personal experience, and that takes time. Jupiter's position in your chart gives clues to where you can push the boundaries and create abundance in your life. For example, Jupiter in the Seventh House of relationships may bring more than one marriage or serious relationship (you'd think we all had Jupiter there these days!). In its natural (or unconscious) state Jupiter gives the ability to enjoy and maybe a sense of arrogance coming from overconfidence and belief in your own greatness. There is even a feeling of pomposity, sometimes seen in those at the top of the legal profession. Some of those people may actually believe they are above the law they seek to uphold and the same can be seen in politics. I won't go further down that line. And then a more developed Jupiter begins to refine and define the nature of truth and philosophy, and create the spirit of the Law, the truths and higher ideals that bring the moral judgement that attempts to keep a civilised society in some semblance of order. And here we have the notion of common sense, a basic understanding that comes from experience and wisdom. In its highest state, Jupiter brings clarity and fairness of judgement and a sense of being linked to spiritual or natural law. This is nothing to do with intellect and cuts across the social strata of society. There is a development of trust in a guiding power that is beneficial and creative, and from around the age of 48 we become aware of this in our lives, and not as a result of what we have been told by others.
