The Sun in the zodiac is how we define ourselves when we read our stars; you are a Scorpio, or a Capricorn etc. It is where we shine and our characteristics are strongest.

The Sun is the Ruler of the sign of Leo, the Lion. There are royal connotations (the king of the jungle), a need to perform in front of an appreciative crowd, and a need to show off, to be recognised.

When we are smaller we have no problem expressing our wants and needs and personality, but society demands that we mature and tone down our natural exuberance.

Consequently, some of us have a Sun that is asleep. If you are afraid of putting yourself forward, of hiding in the background and hiding your light under a bushel, of following the crowd because you believe the crowd knows best, then you may not be using your Sun's power.

It is not about being an introvert or an extrovert. It's about expressing your individuality and will power.

It may be that you gradually become more self aware and begin to question beliefs and ideals that you have been brought up with. Maybe it is time to search and understand your own truths.

The Sun in you is waking up. It's okay to be different and not like everyone else. You begin to value yourself and others begin to value you too. You earn self respect.

And then, you find that you can achieve your goals through the focus and direction of your willpower (or sunpower). The Sun is the driver of your psychic engine if you like. You can use that power to exert your Mars power and Venus power and Mercury power.

Those people who achieve recognition and success have total self belief and faith in their direction. Perhaps they have talent to, but they have learnt to use their skills and develop them.

Many more of us could achieve that kind of success with the same sense of purpose, if we wish. Nobody is better or worse than you. You are special and a total individual. Just remember that!
