For everything there is a season

From Aquarians we can learn a different way of regarding the world; their information is gleaned from weird and wonderful sources.

Through Aquarian eyes we see life in a multi-dimensional way, cutting through conventional linear thinking and allowing all our senses, including the sixth, to make connections and formulate succinct truths.

Refreshingly plain speaking, a clear agenda that sweeps aside the wooliness that has become political correctness makes Aquarius uncompromising with the truth and defies convention.

Even though majority opinion is a comforting way of being for most of us, Aquarians are not afraid to push forward into uncharted territory and come up with brilliant and inventive solutions.

No one likes being pigeon-holed and yet we all are and are guilty of classifying others as well; male, female, black, disabled, English, gay, 2.4 children suburbanite, senior citizen etc.

The Aquarian message shows us that we can regard people as individuals, not as collective groups and tribes and yet we are all one in the human race. We must feel free to express our individuality and have the courage to stand up for our own beliefs.

This is so difficult in the confines of education and the workplace as human nature demands that we define our enemies and our friends, recognised by outward appearance, speech, mannerisms etc. But to look beyond these superficial visual signals allows us to accept others who appear different and recognise the similarities that connect us. In so doing we are enriched by the experience and so are they.

Politicians are particularly guilty of pointing out differences and areas of dissimilarity in order to exploit the basic human need of belonging to the strongest group.

So we have distorted opinions and double speak and lack of progress, fueled by the need for power and control. No wonder we have to question ideas and opinions fed to us by the biased media and manipulative journalism.

Over the next weeks be aware of the times that your point of view is swayed by the influence of the status quo, and perhaps allow your imagination to travel to the far corners of the world and connect with someone on the other side, just like you.
