Annabel
Burton.com is a site that I stumbled on when doing research for a Tarot
article. (Yes, oracles do have a tendency to overlap.) Oracles such
as Astrology, Tarot, Runes and Numerology are all tools of empowerment,
in that they allow us to see ourselves, and our lives, with greater
clarity. Not that was not the first thing that impressed me about this
site.
I
was impressed from the start with the use of pastels and white space.
Pastels, of course, are very soft colors. This site is done in shades
of blue and pink that are both welcoming and nurturing - one feels that
there are no "harsh edges" here. Continuing this theme there is a photo
of Annabel on the right hand side of the screen, at a level where the
eye goes naturally. She is looking up and out at you, the reader. From
the smile on her face, you know that she finds great joy in life, and
that she would love to assist you in doing the same!
The
middle of the screen presents information about Annabel (who, by the
way, lives in the United Kingdom), about her qualifications as an astrologer,
and how to contact her for a reading. She conducts personal readings
in her home, consults for businesses on their premesis, by phone and
the internet.
Her
"Horoscope Shop" contains some marvelous opportunities for getting to
know yourself, and those close to you, better. Annabel offers readings
for love, career, character (I like this one!), compatability and monthly/yearly
forcasts. A very special offering here is a CD "Guided Journey" through
the chakras.
Also
available through the horoscope shop are three card (past/present/future)
Tarot readings (available by e-mail) and in person astrology classes
(available only in the United Kingdom).
On
the left hand side of the screen - well, one could wander for days through
this information. Annabel has a section for each of the elements: Earth,
Air, Water and Fire. Under each heading are the three sun signs that
each element rules. For each sun sign, Annabel gives the reader basic
information on that sign, as well as a nice section on who they are
- and are NOT, compatable with. Well worth reading.
There
are wonderful short sections on Tarot and Reiki that are well worth
reading. Not only are oracles able to be used in combination, but other
energies, such as Reiki, can be used to help empower the process. I
was very pleased to see these sections here.
There
is much, much more information here that describes astrology and what
it can do for you. Please pay Annabel a visit - it will be time well
spent.

Jonathan Cainer provides just enough info to intrigue you. But take
a look at how expensive it is to call him. And then you only get a recording!
May
be more cost-effective to just type out your question and e-mail it
to Annabel Burton, who gives a good answer, in my opinion, and only
charges $15, as of March 2002. On the other hand, Cainer's yearly forecast
is pretty good, so my opinion is that if I could get him to give me
a personal reading (are you kidding ! how expensive) and not a recorded
phone message, he'd be worth a high price.
